Project 1: skeletal construction [ temporary bus shelter ]
The aim of this project is to produce a bus shelter based on the understanding of
skeletal construction and its joints.The bus shelter should be made out of recycled materials that mimic the reflects the materials in used in actual construction. This group project of 6 members also requires a detailed analysis of the bus shelter in a folio form with its loads and force analysis.
While building this bus shelter ,i have understand the importance of transferring the load and forces in the right direction to avoid structural error .I have an in depth understanding of skeletal construction method as well as taking the opportunity of recycling materials.

Project 2: construction [ grid structure ]
For this project it is based on applying the concept of grid shell construction and tensile construction methods.It involves a relevant case study of our choice in which we work in a group of 3 members in dissecting the details of structural system,construction method ,materials,function and load distribution of the building.We are given the choice
of choosing either a grid shell structure or a tensile structure.
Therefore ,my group chose the grid shell structure and the Zero Carbon Building Bamboo Pavilion as our case study.I have learned the different type of layers in constructing a grid shell structure and since my case study uses bamboo as its materials the force distribution is plays an important role in stabilizing the whole pavilion.
