DESIGN STUDIO 3
Project 1: journey through 5 senses
This group project of 5 members is the study and exploration of different spatial organization methods in design that informs human occupation ,behavior and experience
within the architectural spaces. It is also an introductory assignment to analyse spatial typologies and spatial poetics of the case studies .
As for my group our precedent study was the Cliffs Of Moher Visitor Interpretive Centre in County Clare, Ireland.
From this project i learned to identify and explain different spatial types in architecture and how they inform spatial use and experience based on the precedent given .

Project 2: VISITOR INTERPRETIVE CENTRE
The design brief calls for an architectural response to design AN INTERPRETIVE CENTRE sited in Sekinchan, emphasizing a strong engagement and relationship to the site, spatial experiences and programmatic requirements.
The interpretive centre will serve two purposes:
- To provide a physical point of reference with visual significance that keeps alive the culture/history/memory/essence of
the site
- To provide accommodation to house and display relevant material and interpretive material for public access and information.
We were given the option to chose our site based on the option Bagan ,fishing village or Sekinchan ,paddy field village. The site i have chosen to build my VIC is the paddy field area .
I have learned so much from this project such as planning spaces and integrating the spatial typologies with the building form and function as well as the flow of the spaces considering the manipulation of light and texture of the materials.
